Creative New Zealand – Creative Impact Fund
- Areas of support: Funding for artists and practitioners to create, share and present work that enriches audiences and encourages understanding and participation. This opportunity supports artists and practitioners for up to 18 months to deliver arts activities that: enrich audiences and communities; deepen people’s understanding and participation in the arts; encourages the sharing of knowledge and skills.
- Eligible regions: All New Zealand

- Grant value: Up to $50,000 or between $50,000 and $125,000
Mazda Foundation (NZ) Grants
- Areas of support: Funds the provision of financial aid to individuals and causes which provide assistance: towards the maintenance and improvement of the natural environment; in the advancement of culture and education to achieve excellence at all levels in the community; to young people through advancement of education and employment skills development, with particular emphasis on children from deprived backgrounds; in the arts, to educate and expose the NZ public on NZ culture.

- Grant value: Generally, under $5,000 but has granted up to $12,000
NZ Ministry of Social Development Office for Seniors Age-friendly Fund
- Areas of support: For community-led projects that encourage older people to actively participate and contribute to their community. The fund supports councils and communities to develop age friendly plans and initiatives.
- Eligible regions: All New Zealand
- Application deadline: 30 September 2026
- Grant value: Between $5,000 – $15,000
Trust Tairāwhiti Community Funding
- Areas of support: The Community Fund supports a wide range of community projects and initiatives that benefit the people of Tairāwhiti. This may include projects that: strengthen community wellbeing; support community-led initiatives; create social or cultural benefits; build participation, connection and local capability; increase equitable access to opportunities, services or resources; deliver lasting benefits for communities across Tairāwhiti.
- Eligible regions: Gisborne
- Application deadline: Anytime
- Grant value: Has funded up to $1.5M, most grants are $10,000 – $50,000
Jenkins Foundation
- Areas of support: Community and Economic Development initiatives could include: protecting the environment, such as re-vegetation, afforestation, protection of our waterways, coastlines, pest eradication and the reintroduction of native bird species; promoting the permanent preservation of places of historic interest for the nation, including initiatives that encourage public awareness of our heritage; assistance in funding public amenities including walkways, parks, gardens, museums, information boards and recreational facilities; the advancement of education for the benefit of the New Zealand public prioritising programmes that educate youth in culture, life skills and environmental initiatives.

Awhero Nui Trust
- Areas of support: The Trusts aim is to contribute to achieving a good life for all people in New Zealand. Priority areas are: primary education sector; homelessness; social housing; mentoring of ex-prisoners; reduction of poverty. Also supports international aid agencies, and organisations in the sporting, environmental and heritage arenas.
- Eligible regions: All New Zealand
- Application deadline: EOI Anytime. The Trust does not run a formal grants process, but if you feel your organisation would fit within the areas of interest you are encouraged to make contact.
- Grant value: Has funded $5,000 to $150,000
June Gray Charitable Trust
- Areas of support: Financial subsidies and support for community-based projects across New Zealand. There is a focus on funding those that need a step up in life rather than a simple handout, with a high degree of focus on supporting young people and the community in general with health, education and personal development.
- Eligible regions: All New Zealand
- Application deadline: Anytime. The Trustees meet early in the months of March, June, September and December.
- Grant value: Usually limited to $3,000, but this figure is flexible. Has funded from $450 to $12,000
