An exciting, new funding service is about to land in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Meet Match | Te Puna Taurite (MTPT). Developed by our long-time friends and partners at Philanthropy New Zealand, with both the New Zealand fund-seeker and funder in mind, MTPT aims to more easily connect those with funds to those that seek them.
Strategic Grants and Philanthropy New Zealand have a long-standing relationship, supporting and strengthening the charitable sector across Aotearoa.
“We’ve designed Match | Te Puna Taurite to complement existing services like Strategic Grants, which helps fund-seekers find funders, keep track of available funding and support their fundraising capability”, said Philanthropy New Zealand | Tōpūtanga Tuku Aroha o Aotearoa Chief Executive, Sue McCabe.
“MTPT gives community groups an easy option to get in front of multiple funders at once, and specifically to get in front of those who are interested in the specific focus of the charity.
“We’ll continue to work together with Strategic Grants to keep supporting funders and fund-seekers in Aotearoa New Zealand, given the significance of the community sector and the contribution of philanthropic and grantmaking funding to the charitable sector’s critical contribution,” said Sue.
“We deeply admire the work that Philanthropy New Zealand does in creating an accessible, thought-provoking and collaborative community for both fundraisers and philanthropists,” said Jo Garner, Director, Strategic Grants.
“We know from our years of experience working with both fund-seekers and fund-makers across New Zealand that an innovative tool like Match | Te Puna Taurite will be welcomed by the sector, and alongside our Grants Expertise Management System, GEMS, will become a must-have in the sector’s fundraising and philanthropy toolkit.”
