Maree Perfrement, Grants Strategist, New South Wales
Prior to joining Strategic Grants, Maree gained over 20 years of experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors in legal, communication and policy roles.
A qualified lawyer, Maree has extensive experience in preparing grant applications and tender submissions in the corporate and legal sectors. She also has a passion for social justice issues.
In pursuing her interest in social justice, Maree has worked with Amnesty International Australia’s National Refugee Team preparing submissions to the Minister for Immigration on the Australian Government’s Humanitarian Program, and co-authored an extensive briefing report for Amnesty International’s Secretary General.
Maree has also worked in London, on the production of a Europe-wide report into social and legal conditions for refugees and asylum seekers for the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE), and was subsequently commissioned by The Council of Europe to prepare a report and policy recommendations on migration and asylum for Council of Europe Member States.
Maree holds degrees in Arts and Law, including a Masters in Law from the University of Sydney.
In 2014, Maree brought her significant experience and skills to Strategic Grants, where she works directly with our nonprofit partners on their grants programs and contributes valuable writing and critiquing expertise to the SG team.
